Tottenham Hotspur are still hoping to do business in the domestic-only transfer window, which closes on Friday at 5pm.
Spurs had a busy international transfer window, signing a host of new players in order to try and close the gap to the top-four.
Jose Mourinho does not seem completely satisfied with just that, though, and still looks to be chasing one more deal before Friday’s cut-off point.
Here are the latest Tottenham transfer rumours.
Spurs and Swans ‘far apart’ on Rodon valuation
Tottenham and Swansea City are still “far apart” in their respective valuations of defender Joe Rodon, football.london understands.
Spurs are chasing just one player, it is understood, before the domestic-only window and that’s the 22-year-old Welsh centre-back.
However, the Premier League club and the Championship side are still “far apart on their valuations” of Rodon.
Despite the Swans defender being considered an exciting talent, Spurs do not want to pay “over the odds” for an unproven player at the top level.
Cooper insists price must be right for Rodon
Staying with the Rodon pursuit, and Swansea boss Steve Cooper hopes the Welsh club “will get something to show for it”, if the defender is sold to Spurs.
Cooper wants some money in order to reinvest in the squad if the board decides to let the 22-year-old leave the Liberty Stadium.
“If we do lose an asset then our supporters will want to see some reinvestment and some good players coming in,” Cooper said.
“What I would say about Joe or any other of our assets - and Joe is right up there as one of our biggest ones - it’s really important that if we do end up having to sell, then we get something to show for it.”
Weghorst opens up on Spurs summer talks
Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst has said he held talks with Tottenham over a move in the summer.
The 28-year-old revealed that a move to Spurs was under “serious” consideration when the international transfer window was open, but it didn’t materialise.
Now, speaking to Kicker (via TEAMtalk ), Weghorst opened up on the events: “It was serious with Tottenham. I was a candidate. Of course, you are interested in something like that too. It is also a confirmation that I’m on the right track.
“I’m 28 now, and I’d like to win titles. I made that clear here. I hope that we improve as a team so that we can possibly do more overall.”
