Tottenham maintained their fine run at the weekend by defeating Brighton 2-1, with Jose Mourinho's side remaining undefeated in the Premier League since the opening weekend.
Spurs currently sit second in the standings, two points behind early pacesetters Liverpool, and could head into November's international break top of the pile if results this weekend go their way.
While it may seem like the transfer window drama has only just finished following the extended summer window, the January transfer window is due to open in just two months time.
As ever, there are plenty of rumours floating around and we have gathered some of the latest snippets below.
Dele Alli frustration
Dele Alli has been left frustrated at Tottenham as he has still not been given the reasons for his exile from the squad, the Daily Mail reports.
The England international has made just two Premier League appearances this season and has not featured since coming off the bench against Manchester United before the last international break.
A loan exit for Alli was reportedly rejected during the previous transfer window and the opportunity of a permanent departure may emerge in the New Year.
Paris Saint Germain failed with three loan offers during the summer and would certainly be interested again in January if he was made available, the report adds.
Joe Rodon sale defended
Swansea City chairman Julian Winter has defended the sale of Joe Rodon to Tottenham on the final day of the domestic transfer window, as reported by the BBC.
The Wales international left the Championship side to complete a move to north London but the decision to allow him to leave has been criticised by some fans on social media.
However, Winter has now defended the sale: "I can understand that, but you have to take a view at the time that you’re in it and there wasn’t a big market for Joe.
"There was only one club in for Joe. (That reduced Swansea’s) ability to negotiate better fees with other clubs. We did try with a couple of other clubs, but that wasn’t going anywhere."
Dier backs Alli for return
Dele Alli has been linked with an exit from Tottenham but Eric Dier has backed his teammate to make a return to Jose Mourinho's side.
PSG are among the clubs in for the England international, who was hauled off at half-time during Spurs' 1-0 defeat to Antwerp last Thursday.
However, Dier doesn't believe the door has been shut on Alli permanently, telling the Mail : "Dele has the capacity, we all know his quality, we all know what he brings, he's shown that in the past.
"It's really up to him to put in the work, the effort, the commitment and I'm sure he will do that."
