Tottenham transfer rumours: Arkadiusz Milik blow, new Milan Skriniar offer, Serge Aurier latest

Tottenham suffered a hammer blow in the Premier League on Sunday after a last-gasp penalty saw Newcastle United snatch a draw.

That means Jose Mourinho's side have started the season with a defeat, a win and a draw, with plenty of room for improvement in the coming weeks.

Fresh signings could also be on the horizon as Mourinho looks to tie up his business for the summer, while some exits could also be on the cards.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest snippets surrounding Spurs.

Arkadiusz Milik blow

Tottenham have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik as it has been made clear they are far from the only side in the running.

Rai Sports reporter Ciro Venerato has named four Premier League sides in the running for the services of the Poland international.

“An intermediary told me that there’s informal talks with Leipzig, Manchester City, Manchester United, Fulham and Tottenham,” Venerato told Radio Kiss Kiss, as cited by Metro .

“The latter are the most reliable track, but the formula requested by Napoli does not convince Mourinho.”

Spurs prepare fresh Skriniar bid

Tottenham are preparing to formulate an offer for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar and the Italian side are open to a sale, TuttoMercatoWeb states.

The Slovakia international was an unused substitute for Antonio Conte's side on the Serie A's opening weekend and, despite their sporting director playing down the chances of an exit, a transfer is still on the cards.

However, Spurs will not meet Inter's demands of around €50-55m for the defender and the Italian side will need to decide whether their offer is appealing.

It's stated that Spurs will present an offer of a loan with an obligation to purchase next summer for a fee of €40m.

Milan in Aurier talks

AC Milan are locked in negotiations with Tottenham to land the services of Serge Aurier but the saga is far from over, the Mail reports.

Aurier is free to depart north London if a suitable offer is presented following on from the signing of Matt Doherty from Wolves, which has pushed the former PSG man down the pecking order.

However, they could turn their attentions away from Aurier as it's also mentioned that they have made an enquiry to Norwich City regarding Max Aarons.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Barcelona but the Catalan side are closing in on Ajax's Sergino Dest.
