Tottenham transfer rumours: Alli sends message to Levy over PSG move and Leicester reject Eriksen

There is just over a week left in the January transfer window and clubs are starting to rush to get deals over the line.

Tottenham are no different and boss Jose Mourinho will be keen to strengthen his squad if possible for the remainder of the season.

Clubs have until 11pm on Monday, February 1 to seal transfers so time is of the essence.

In light of this, here are some of the latest Spurs rumours doing the rounds.

Dele Alli, Jose Mourinho and January transfer possibility

Eriksen won't be a Foxes player

Leicester City have ruled out a move for former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The Dane, who left north London last January to sign for Inter Milan, has been heavily linked with a departure from the San Siro this month after falling out of favour.

But he won't be joining Brendan Rodgers' side, however, according to The Telegraph, after the Foxes were put off by his £300,000-a-week wages.

Leicester's top earners - Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel - are on around £100,000-a-week so the only way Eriksen could be an option is if Inter pay a significant portion of the Dane's salary.

Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for the 28-year-old.

Alli's message to Levy

Out of favour Spurs midfielder Dele Alli has asked chairman Daniel Levy not to block a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain.

A report by 90min.com says the 24-year-old is keen to move to the French capital and work under former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino who recently replaced Thomas Tuchel at the Parc des Princes.

Alli has been a bit-part player under Jose Mourinho this season with the boss concered by the player's attitude and application.

One stumbing block to a switch to PSG though is regarding the contract, with the report also saying the French giants want an option to buy agreement in the deal.

Levy is believed to be reluctant to see Alli leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a permanent basis.

Rose heading to Turkey?

Tottenham defender Danny Rose is wanted by Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

The 30-year-old is firmly down the pecking order in north London and is out of contract this summer.

Rose was not given a squad number by Spurs for this season and has been training with the U23s as he seeks a way out of the club.

Trabzonspor have already taken two players over from England on loan - Chelsea's Lewis Baker and Stoke's Benik Afobe - so Rose would be the third.

The side are seventh in the league standings and are pushing for a European spot.
