Tottenham transfer news: Nicolo Zaniolo says yes to move as Arsenal deal gives Spurs boost

Tottenham are expected to be busy late in the January transfer window. Mainly because they have yet to do any bsuiness this month.

That is despite being linked with a plethora of players to bolster Antonio Conte's squad in N17. Spurs have been notoriously late movers in past windows, and that looks to be the case once more under chairman Daniel Levy.

But who could they get in before the window closes on January 31? Here football.london takes a look through the latest news and rumours surrounding those players that have been linked with a winter move to the Lilywhites.

Zaniolo wants Spurs move

According to SportMediaSet, Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo has already said yes to a January move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs have been linked with the Italian in previous transfer windows, but never managed to get a deal over the line.

Now, Conte could complete a loan deal with an obligation to buy the 23-year-old. However, there is a sticking point over the price, with Roma wanting around £30million, with Spurs looking at around £18million instead.

Zaniolo is understood to be keen on the move, however, but the two clubs will have to come to an agreement first.

Seny Dieng interest

Guardian journalist Will Unwin claims that Tottenham have registered an interest in Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Seny Dieng.

Club captain Hugo Lloris has come under fire this season for a series of errors leading to goals. And there is a feeling that Spurs will look to replace the Frenchman this summer. Jordan Pickford, Jan Oblak and David Raya have been linked, but a new name has entered the fray in Dieng.

Dieng is 28 years old and has preformed well as QPR are on the fringes of the Championship play-off places this season.

Arsenal hand Spurs chance

Spurs have been handed a 'free run' at signing a new defender this month, after Arsenal made the move to sign Jakub Kiwior instead.

Kiwior is on the brink of a move to the Emirates Stadium, having already met his new teammates. And with that signing, Arsenal will not move for Evan Ndicka, a long-term target.

That will leave the door open for Tottenham to complete a move. Conte is keen to sign the Eintracht Frankfurt defender and the path will become clear for Spurs to complete a deal once Kiwior signs for Arsenal, according to the Express.
