Tottenham transfer news and rumours: Arsenal battle for Torres, Mac Allister interest, advantage in Singo race

Tottenham are plotting a number of bids to bolster their squad during the January transfer window.

A host of names have already been linked with Antonio Conte’s side with the market opening in only a few short weeks.

Ferran Torres is the latest name to pop up on Spurs’ radar along with talk of Alexis Mac Allister joining from Brighton.

At the back, Wilfried Singo continues to be touted as a long-term target while Chris Smalling, Stefan de Vrij and Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa are said to be options.

Here are your latest Tottenham transfer news and rumours...

Ferran Torres

Barcelona winger Torres is emerging as a January target for multiple clubs, including Tottenham.

German outlet Bild name Spurs alongside AC Milan as tracking a player who is far from being a first-choice at the Camp Nou since his £47million move from Manchester City.

However, they would have to beat Arsenal to the punch as Mikel Arteta is eyeing up the Spain star as a replacement for the injured Gabriel Jesus.

Brighton midfielder Mac Allister is enjoying a fine World Cup for Argentina, which has naturally heightened speculation around his signature.

Tottenham are reportedly tracking the player along with Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan - with the news coming via L’Interista.

Conte landed Yves Bissouma from the Seagulls in the summer so would be no stranger to heading to the south coast in search of a deal.

Wilfried Singo

An update from Tuttosport suggests things may soon come to a head for Torino defender Singo.

While an injury is expected to rule out a January deal, talks will still take place between the young right-back and the Serie A club.

If agreement cannot be found on a contract extension past his current 2024 expiry date, it is said Torino will prepare to cash in on Singo with Tottenham first in line for his services.
