Tottenham to trial NHS COVID Pass at Arsenal friendly

Tottenham will trial the use of the NHS COVID Pass for their friendly with Arsenal next week.

The Pass, which is generated by the NHS App, allows people to show their vaccination or Covid-19 status.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will take on their north London rivals at 2pm on August 8 followed by a women’s match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

All fans attending the derby, which is part of the Mind Series, will have to confirm they are either fully vaccinated or have received a negative Covid-19 test result within 48 hours of kick-off.

The NHS COVID Pass allows fans to do that using the NHS App on their mobile device as they enter the stadium.

The Premier League are still in discussions with the Government as to what the entry requirements will be for fans attending games this season.

It is thought people will have to be double vaccinated, or produce a negative Covid-19 test, to attend large events this autumn.
