Inter Milan have made an offer to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Serie A giants' sporting director Piero Ausillio has confirmed a formal offer has been lodged, while Sky in Italy claim the bid is in the region of £11m plus add-ons.
It now remains to be seen if Spurs and Daniel Levy can be tempted into accepting that offer as they do risk losing the Denmark international for free in the summer as he will be out of contract in June.
Inter have already signed Ashley Young from Manchester United and are being linked with a double raid on Chelsea with the signings of Victor Moses - currently on loan at Fenerbahce - and Olivier Giroud.
Both of whom have played under Inter head coach Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
But will the Italian tactician be able to land Eriksen in what would be a massive boost to his side's chances of challenging Juventus for the Serie A title this season?
Well, Inter have made their move.
"We just made an official bid to Tottenham to sign Christian Eriksen and now we're waiting," Ausilio told Sky.
"Many clubs are interested but we are confident - trying to get a top player like Eriksen."
Inter's bid comes just days after Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho praised Eriksen for staying focused amid ongoing speculation regarding his future.
"You have to ask the agent and Inter because they know more than me," he told reporters when asked a possible move to Serie A for Eriksen.
"If they are confident it is because they are ready to make us an offer, which didn't happen yet.
"When I see people speaking, especially people with responsibilities, it makes me surprised. He is trying to do his best and it is normal until January 31 his brain is not totally focused.
"It is a normal consequence of the situation. I still don't understand that optimism. For a few matches people are saying he is playing his last game."
