Tottenham to face Pacos de Ferreira or Larne FC in Europa Conference League play-offs

Tottenham will face Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira or Larne FC of Northern Ireland in the Europa Conference League play-off round.

Spurs must play the two-legged qualifier to reach the group stage after finishing seventh in the Premier League last season, despite being among the favourites to win Uefa's new club competition.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will discover their final opponents after Pacos and Larne meet in the second leg of their third qualifying round on August 12 before the two-legged qualifier across August 19 and 26.

Spurs will play the first leg away at either Pacos' 9,000 capacity Estadio da Mata Real or Inver Park on the east coast on County Antrim, which holds a little over 1,000 spectators.

Uefa has already said that no away fans will be permitted at the qualifiers, although travelling fans could return if Spurs reach the group stage.

Spurs crashed out in the last-16 of the Europa League with an embarrassing defeat to Dinamo Zagreb last season after dropping into the competition following four consecutive seasons in the Champions League.

They reached the Champions League Final in 2019.
