One of Thomas Frank’s closest allies will not be joining him at Tottenham.
Claus Norgaard was Frank’s assistant at Brentford and it was announced on Monday that he was leaving the Bees.
But Norgaard will not be following Frank from Brentford to Spurs like Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam and Joe Newton.
Explaining why he will not be moving to Spurs, Norgaard told Danish outlet Bold: “There were several things that came into play when Thomas moved to Tottenham. Personally, I couldn’t make it fit in that well.

“When you take a job like the one Thomas has taken, it requires enormous dedication. Now we’re parting ways, and I greatly appreciate our collaboration over the many years.”
Norgaard added: “Everything has happened with great respect for each other. I have the best memories with Thomas after working closely together for two and a half years.”
Brentford director of football Phil Giles has said Norgaard “played a major role” in their success in his two-and-a-half years at the club.
Giles said: “Everybody at the club wishes him well in his next role and I’m sure he will be just as successful at whichever club is fortunate enough to employ him.”
On his future plans, Norgaard said: “I’m a football coach and will be coaching again, but it won’t be until the new year. “Due to Brexit, we will be out of England in two months. So, our plan is to travel around the world and then return to Denmark, where we will then find a place to live.”
