Tottenham the latest side to be linked with a move for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to raid Leeds United for the second time in the summer transfer window as they look to land £30m-rated midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Mauricio Pochettino's side has already landed the services of Jack Clarke from Leeds , paying £9m for the teenager and sending him back on loan to Elland Road for the upcoming season.

His work in the market is not done yet though and the Mirror states Pochettino has turned his sights towards Leeds once again, with Phillips now on the agenda.

Newly-promoted Aston Villa are also chasing the 23-year-old, while the report also mentions interest from Newcastle United, Wolves and Bournemouth.

Villa have already lodged an £11m offer for Phillips and are prepared to offer a considerable increase to his current £10k-a-week wages, although their approach fell short of Leeds' £30m valuation.

Leeds are desperate to retain the services of Phillips and have opened negotiations regarding a new contract, although they would be unable to meet the figures that the likes of Tottenham could offer.

The Champions League runners-up would also be able to hand Phillips European football next season, although securing first-team assurances in North London would be a difficult task - particularly after the signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.

Phillips, a boyhood Leeds fan, has rejected an initial contract offer from the club but Leeds' hierarchy are confident he will not agitate for a summer transfer and will put pen to paper on a new deal.

He played 90 minutes in Tuesday night's 2-1 friendly victory over Guiseley and will travel with the squad to Australia next week for the showcase pre-season friendly against Manchester United.
