Tottenham team vs Brighton confirmed: Pochettino makes 5 changes with Vincent Janssen on bench

Mauricio Pochettino has made a number of changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side as they face Brighton in the Premier League.

The game comes just three days after yet another gruelling battle against Manchester City and the Spurs boss has made some changes to freshen up his side, with a tough London derby on the horizon on Saturday as well against West Ham.

Moussa Sissoko is likely to be out for the next two weeks with his injury, while Harry Kane and Serge Aurier are continuing their rehabilitation from injury.

Harry Winks, Hugo Lloris and Erik Lamela were assessed ahead of the match but only Lloris makes it into the squad and starts.

The Argentine likes to rotate his full-backs when the games come thick and fast and both Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose come back into the starting line-up.

Juan Foyth drops out of the team after an impressive display at the Etihad Stadium as Pochettino reverts to a back four.

In midfield Eric Dier made his first start in more than a month at City but he drops back to the bench for this game with Victor Wanyama coming into the side.

Fernando Llorente, who scored that dramatic Champions League goal in Manchester, is handed a start as he did in the 4-0 win against Huddersfield.

Here's the team Spurs start with: Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Wanyama, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lucas, Llorente. Subs: Gazzaniga, Davies, Foyth, Sanchez, Dier, Skipp, Janssen.
