Tottenham team vs Arsenal confirmed: Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen return to line-up

Mauricio Pochettino has recalled both Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen to his Tottenham Hotspur line-up for the match at Arsenal.

The duo missed the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United last Sunday and Vertonghen has yet to play a minute for the team this season in the Premier League.

Pochettino has a few injury problems for the north London derby at the Emirates Stadium. Club record signing Tanguy Ndombele missed the match against Newcastle with a thigh injury and he will remain out until after the international break.

Kyle Walker-Peters misses out with a hamstring strain suffered against Newcastle while Juan Foyth remains out and Ryan Sessegnon is set to rejoin first team training in the coming days.

Pochettino had seemingly gone for a back three with Moussa Sissoko at right wing-back with Eriksen coming into the middle, but there is talk that Davinson Sanchez will be moving to the right-back slot.

Dele Alli also returns to the bench after two weeks of solid training after his hamstring injury.

Pochettino denies 'stupid rumours' over quitting as Tottenham manager

Here is the team Pochettino has gone with:

Lloris, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen; Sissoko, Winks, Eriksen Rose; Lamela, Son; Kane. Subs: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Davies, Skipp, Lo Celso, Dele, Lucas.
