Tottenham team news: Strong Europa League squad expected from Jose Mourinho, but Dele Alli future unclear

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is set to name a strong squad for Thursday's Europa League match against Shkendija, but this morning he had yet to decide if Dele Alli would be involved.

Dele was left out of the squad for the last two matches, including the second qualifying round win in Bulgaria last week, but had been due to start against Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup last night before the match was called off less than three hours before kick-off following a coronavirus outbreak at the League Two club.

Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a loan deal for the 24-year-old but Spurs expect him to stay and fight for his place in Mourinho's squad.

The Portuguese was due to name his travelling party for this afternoon's flight to Macedonia after the morning training session is also yet to decide if new signing Sergio Reguilon would be involved. But Gareth Bale will not be fit until next month.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg may not be risked tomorrow night after suffering an ankle problem in Sunday's 5-2 win at his former club Southampton.

Spurs host Newcastle on Sunday and Mourinho has described their schedule as "inhuman" and "a total joke".
