Tottenham team news confirmed: Tanguy Ndombele makes first start of season but no Dele Alli

Jose Mourinho has handed Tanguy Ndombele his first start of the season in Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League game at Southampton.

The Spurs boss has praised the Frenchman's efforts in training since returning this pre-season and following the midfielder's winner at Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Thursday night after coming off the bench, Ndombele is handed a starting sport.

Giovani Lo Celso, who played his first minutes of the season in Bulgaria, lasting the entire match, is on the bench.
