Tottenham team confirmed vs West Ham: Ndombele, Kane and Son return, Winks absent from squad

Nuno Espirito Santo has, as expected, rung the changes for Tottenham's London derby clash against West Ham.

Giving those on the periphery of the first team a chance in the Europa Conference League so far this season, the Spurs head coach did exactly that on Thursday away at Vitesse Arnhem as he left his entire starting XI from last weekend's win at Newcastle back in the capital.

A big opportunity for those playing in Arnhem to stake a claim for a starting spot, only a handful of players came out of the game with any real credit following a late 1-0 defeat.

It hasn't been enough to change the head coach's thinking for the game at the London Stadium, however.

Hugo Lloris returns in goal for the Lilywhites in place of Pierluigi Gollini, with Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Sergio Reguilon making up the back four.

Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg once again return in midfield, while the front four of Lucas Moura, Tanguy Ndombele, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane get the nod to start again as players such as Steven Bergwijn and Dele Alli didn't impress in the Netherlands.

Both Bergwijn and Alli are options off the bench for the head coach in east London but Harry Winks and Dane Scarlett from the starting XI in midweek miss out on the squad entirely.

West Ham come into today's fixture on the back of a 1-0 win over Everton and Espirito Santo is fully aware of the tough task facing his players.

"A very good team, the core of the team is there," said the Portuguese. "David Moyes is doing a fantastic job and it is going to be a tough game for us.

"All the managers when they join a club need time, that is the nature of football."

Here is the team Espirito Santo has chosen to take on the Hammers:

Tottenham team vs West Ham: Lloris; Emerson, Romero, Dier, Reguilon; Skipp, Hojbjerg; Lucas, Ndombele, Son; Kane.

Substitutes: Gollini, Tanganga, Sanchez, Davies, Rodon, Lo Celso, Alli, Gil, Bergwijn
