Tottenham team confirmed vs Sheffield United: Tanguy Ndombele on the bench, Steven Bergwijn in

Jose Mourinho has named his Tottenham starting XI for this evening's Premier League clash against Sheffield United.

Last in action nine days ago as they defeated West Ham 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the head coach has made one change to freshen things up.

Steven Bergwijn is brought back in after dropping down to the bench last time out in place of Dele Alli, with Tanguy Ndombele remaining on the bench.

Unbeaten since the Premier League restart, the Lilywhites will be looking to keep it that way with a tricky game in South Yorkshire on the agenda.

Premier League preview: Sheff Utd v Tottenham

A win would move Spurs to within four points of Manchester United and Wolves in fifth in the race for a European spot, while it would also see them jump ahead of Arsenal once again after they leapfrogged Mourinho's side on Wednesday.

However, despite the Blades' recent poor run, it will be easier said than done given their results on home soil.

Speaking about Chris Wilder's side at his pre-match press conference, Mourinho knows his team are going to be in for an extremely tough game.

"The defeat at Newcastle playing with 10 men for such a long time, is not a dramatic result," he said.

"To lose at Old Trafford is not a dramatic result and to be so unlucky to lose against Arsenal in the last minute is not a dramatic result.

"There not something that is going to change my idea that they are a good team they are the result of fantastic work that Wilder is doing there.

"Looking at their match against us in our stadium, they were so, so good, they were so, so strong so my boys felt it.

"They know they are a very difficult opponent for tomorrow."

Here is the Tottenham starting XI Mourinho has named for the game at Bramall Lane:

Tottenham starting XI vs Sheffield United: Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Sissoko, Lo Celso; Lucas, Bergwijn, Son; Kane.

Substitutes: Gazzaniga, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, WInks, Skipp, Gedson, Ndombele, Alli, Lamela.
