Tottenham team confirmed vs Manchester United: Eric Dier and Aurier start, Alderweireld on bench

Jose Mourinho has made three changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side to face his old club Manchester United.

Mourinho welcomes United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon looking to complete a Premier League double this campaign after the 6-1 victory over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

For the first time in this most unusual of seasons, Mourinho has had a full seven days to work with his Tottenham players without a midweek fixture, international absentees or a late postponement in the middle of the week.

He also had a near full squad to choose from, with only full-backs Ben Davies and Matt Doherty missing through injury.

Toby Alderweireld and Serge Aurier return to the squad after their two-match absence with the Belgian on the bench and the Ivorian back in the team at right-back.

Eric Dier starts alongside Joe Rodon with Davinson Sanchez dropped from the squad after his tough day at the office at Newcastle.

Gareth Bale remains on the bench with birthday boy Dele Alli, while Son Heung-min is back in the starting line-up following his hamstring injury.

Here is the team Mourinho has chosen:

Lloris (C), Aurier, Rodon, Dier, Reguilon, Højbjerg, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Lucas, Son, Kane. Subs: Hart, Alderweireld, Tanganga, Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Lamela, Bale, Vinicius.
