Tottenham team confirmed vs Manchester City: Harry Kane and Winks back but Gareth Bale on bench

Ryan Mason has made some key changes as Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester City at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final.

The 29-year-old's second match as a interim head coach of Spurs just happens to be the final at the national stadium against one of Europe's most in-form teams.

Tottenham and City will battle in front of a crowd of 8,000 people, with the final acting as one of the government's test events for the return of fans to large scale outdoor events.

Harry Kane has been passed fit to face Manchester City, with Spurs and Mason waiting until the last possible moment to make a decision on the striker.

Gareth Bale has been named on the bench, despite his goal in midweek in the victory against Southampton, along with Tanguy Ndombele.

Giovani Lo Celso keeps his spot in the starting line-up and Harry Winks comes into to join what could be a midfield three with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Elsewhere Mason is missing the injured Ben Davies and Joe Rodon, who is not cup tied, having played in the competition already for Swansea.

Right-back Matt Doherty is back in full training through and available for selection but does not make the squad. Carlos Vinicius also misses out.

Here is the team Mason has gone for:

Lloris (C), Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Winks, Lo Celso, Lucas, Son, Kane. Subs: Hart, Sanchez, Tanganga, Sissoko, Dele, Ndombele, Lamela, Bergwijn, Bale.
