Jose Mourinho has made two changes to his Tottenham team for this evening's crunch Premier League clash against Liverpool.
Heading into the game sat top of the league and ahead of Jurgen Klopp's men on goal difference, Tottenham will be looking to get back to winning ways following Sunday's late 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
Giving Liverpool a huge chance to go into today's game with a two-point lead after kicking off two hours earlier, the Reds couldn't take advantage after only managing a 1-1 draw at struggling Fulham.
Following Sunday's result at Selhurst Park, Mourinho has brought in both Ben Davies and Giovani Lo Celso in place of Sergio Reguilon and Tanguy Ndombele.
Mourinho did confirm in his pre-match press conference that Gareth Bale was a doubt for the fixture having failed to train outside on Monday and he has indeed missed out on the matchday 18.
There is also no Carlos Vinicius in the squad once again having missed out at the weekend.
Seen as a leading contender for the title going on their impressive start to the season, Mourinho has admitted that his side aren't going to Anfield looking to make a statement and are instead focusing on picking up all three points.
"We don't want to make any statement, just play a game and win it," he said when previewing the game. "If the responsibility for that is Liverpool's then great, if it's ours because we are not able to perform well would be a worst feeling. We're not there to make any kind of statement.
"It doesn't matter the result, on Thursday morning we'll be here and Sunday we will be playing again.
"It's not a statement, it's just a match but we go there and our objective is to win."
Here is the Tottenham team Mourinho has selected for the match:
Tottenham XI vs Liverpool: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Davies; Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Lo Celso; Bergwijn, Son, Kane.
