Tottenham team confirmed vs Brighton: Gareth Bale starts, Aurier and Dier out, Sissoko wing-back

Jose Mourinho has made some big changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side to face Brighton Hove & Albion in the Premier League on Sunday night.

Mourinho has made a number of changes in the defensive areas with Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez coming into the back line on either side of Joe Rodon.

Eric Dier drops out of the starting line-up, perhaps with Thursday's match against Chelsea in mind.

There is also a change at right wing-back with neither Serge Aurier nor Matt Doherty in the side and instead midfielder Moussa Sissoko takes on the role.

Aurier, who reportedly left the stadium at half-time during the defeat to Liverpool after being substituted is not in the squad.

With Sergio Reguilon out with a hamstring injury, Ben Davies continues at left wing-back.

Up front Gareth Bale starts his second Premier League game since returning to Tottenham.

With Harry Kane out with his ankle injuries, Son Heung-min plays up top with Steven Bergwijn and Bale either side.

Youngster Alfie Devine is on the bench along with Japhet Tanganga.

Here is the team that Mourinho has chosen.

Lloris; Alderweireld, Rodon, Sanchez; Sissoko, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Davies; Bale, Son, Bergwijn. Subs: Hart, Doherty, Dier, Tanganga, Winks, Devine, Lamela, Lucas, Vinicius.
