Tottenham team confirmed vs Aston Villa: Vinicius, Rodon, Tanganga and Lo Celso start

Jose Mourinho has made plenty of changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side to face Aston Villa in the Premier League at Villa Park.

Following the disappointment this week of the north London derby defeat at Arsenal and the Europa League exit in midweek after a disastrous 3-0 defeat at Dinamo Zagreb, Mourinho needs to get his team back on track.

He has made various changes throughout the team and also to the system the team will be playing in with Carlos Vinicius and Harry Kane paired together up front for the first time from the start of a match this season.

Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga both come into the backline, with Giovani Lo Celso starting his first match in more than three months after recovering from his hamstring and back problems.

Sixteen-year-olds Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine are both named on the bench for Tottenham with Harry Winks, Matt Doherty, Serge Aurier and Toby Alderweireld all out of the squad. The latter two miss out through illness.

Erik Lamela is suspended while Son Heung-min misses out with his hamstring injury.

Here is the team Mourinho has chosen to face an Aston Villa side still without Jack Grealish:

Lloris; Tanganga, Sanchez, Rodon, Reguilon; Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Lucas; Kane, Vincius.

Subs: Hart, Dier, Davies, Sissoko, Devine, Bale, Dele, Bergwijn, Scarlett.
