Tottenham target January transfer as Antonio Conte discovers he has his very own N'Golo Kante

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Tuesday, December 7.

January plans

Tottenham are interested in signing Fenerbahce defender Kim Min-Jae in the January transfer window, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.

The centre-back is the international teammate with Spurs frontman Son Heung-Min and has reportedly garnered considerable interest across Europe after delivering a number of consistent performances for the Super Lig club.

The report claims that Italian giants Juventus, as well as Portuguese side Porto, are also keen to sign the 25-year-old, who will cost €20 million (£16million), according to the piece.

Tottenham's summer signing Cristian Romero is set to be out for the next few weeks with a hamstring injury, meaning transfer chief Fabio Paratici could be forced into acting in the winter window.

Skipp praise

Former Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong has heaped praise on Oliver Skipp following the Lillywhites 3-0 victory against Norwich City over the weekend.

"What a performance," Bassong said in an interview with N17 Live. "He stabilised the midfield. He doesn't do too much, he just does what he's been asked to do and he's doing it brilliantly.

"He's filling the gaps, he's a good shield for the defence.

"His activity is all over the place - he's running, slide tackling."

"You need that kind of player to have a balanced team because you have so many talents up front so you've got to have someone like N'Golo Kante or someone to really stabilise the midfield and honestly, I would give him [Skipp] man of the match," he added.

Conte's chant

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte admitted that he was honoured to hear supporters chant his name during the aforementioned 3-0 win against the Canaries.

"Honestly, first of all I want to say thanks to all the fans that sung my name," Conte said.

"On one hand, I’m very happy, very enthusiastic for this. On the other hand, I feel a lot of responsibility towards our fans.

"I think they trust a lot in my work and to listen my name it was good, also because I have just arrived only one month I’ve been here and for sure I have this responsibility to deserve this and maybe it is too early.

"I want to show in the future I deserve this. I think the good result helps you, but I want to deserve if the fans decide to sing my name for my work, for my involvement in this club, in this situation."
