Lucas Moura urges Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham: 'It's not easy to find a player like him'

Tottenham forward Lucas Moura has urged the club not to sell Harry Kane because he is too "important" to replace.

Kane has been the subject of intense transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Spurs, after revealing in a recent Instagram Q&A session that he wants to win trophies and would not stay at the club "for the sake of it".

The 26-year-old's comments have put Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid on alert, with the former understood to be willing to pay £200million for the England captain.

But Tottenham have insisted they will not entertain the idea of selling Kane and Lucas hopes the club continue to resist approaches from interested parties.

"It's hard to speak about the future, about a negotiation because it's a personal decision," he told Sky Sports via a video link.

"I'm sure that every season Tottenham receive offers for Harry Kane. It's not me who has to decide, but of course I want to play with him in the next season.

"I want to stay with him because he's very important for us and it's not easy to find a player like him.

"Everyone knows that he is a big player. He's very important for us. He is our striker, he scores almost every game.

"I am sure Mourinho wants to keep him and count on him for the rest of the season and next season as well."
