Tottenham stars Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela take on 100 kids in chaotic Shanghai match

Three of Tottenham's biggest stars were presented with an usual challenge in Shanghai on Tuesday – a match against 100 children!

Spurs have often said to have a lack of squad compared to their opponents but it has never been brutally exposed than when Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela faced the centurion of youngsters at the Yuanshen Stadium.

In heat of 36C, which felt higher in the intense humidity, the contest did not last much longer than 10 minutes, with the eventual result a 1-1 draw after Alli fired home a late penalty to spare the stars' blushes.

Spurs are in Shanghai to face Manchester United on Thursday, having beaten Juventus 3-2 in Singapore last week in the first game of their International Champions Cup tour of Asia.

Alli said: "The support has been amazing since we got out here.

"It's unfortunate we can't meet all the fans out here, but the support has been amazing.

"Again today, another tough challenge - not quite like playing in the Premier League against XI but it's exciting and it's nice to have a bit of fun with them."

Kane, Alli and Lamela had promised before the game to be "ruthless" but it was all smiles afterwards as the children presented the England captain with a birthday cake ahead of his 26th on Sunday.
