Tottenham star to miss out vs Leeds as Ryan Mason handed Tanguy Ndombele and Lucas Moura boost

Ryan Mason will have all but one of his Tottenham squad available when they make the trip to Elland Road to take on Leeds United on Saturday lunchtime.

A chance for the team to close to within two points of Chelsea as the Blues aren't in action until later in the day away at Man City, a victory in West Yorkshire will make it three on the bounce in the league for Spurs.

Mason will again have to do without left-back Ben Davies for the game as the Welshman has not been involved in training due to an injury which saw him return early from international duty in March.

That means Sergio Reguilon will once again keep his place at left-back against Marcelo Bielsa's men.

While Davies will have to bide his time to make his Tottenham return, two players who will be looking to take to the pitch are Lucas Moura and Tanguy Ndombele.

Both were named in the squad last Sunday to take on Sheffield United but weren't called upon from the bench by Mason as the team ran out 4-0 winners.

Revealing ahead of the game to Sky Sports that Lucas had only returned to training the day before the game due to an issue, Mason has now confirmed that Ndombele also spent the vast majority of last week on the sidelines as well.

"Ben Davies is the only one that has not been training," he said in his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Leeds. "Tanguy and Lucas didn't train for the majority of last week, they trained the day before the game but this week we have had a fully fit squad."

With defence and attack likely to remain the same with Spurs going into the match on the back of two successive league wins, the interim head coach now has a decision to make in midfield.

Ndombele could potentially come back into the middle as Giovani Lo Celso hasn't been at his best recently, while Lucas will be looking to start at No.10 instead of Dele Alli.
