Tottenham star Christian Eriksen wants statue for Lucas Moura after stunning Champions League hat-trick

Totttenham midfielder Christian Eriksen joked that his teammate Lucas Moura should have a statue built in his honour, after his hat-trick sent them into the Champions League final.

At 3-0 down on aggregate at half-time in the second leg of their semi-final clash with Ajax, Spurs looked dead and buried.

But a second half treble from Lucas, completed in the 96th minute, sent Spurs through to the final on away goals, where they will meet fellow English side Liverpool.

After the game, Eriksen, a former Ajax player, paid tribute to the Brazilian, telling BT Sport: "I hope he gets a statue in England after this."

"We were far down and we tried to fight back and in the end we were just lucky, lucky we scored,” he added.

"It's a dream to reach the Champions League final. We wouldn't have been able to look at ourselves in the mirror if we'd gone down 3-0 or 4-0.

"It was not tactical today, it was more of a fight, more heart."
