Tottenham star adds to injury crisis ahead of Man City clash

Tottenham have been plunged into an injury crisis ahead of their crunch Champions League trip to Manchester City .

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed that midfielder Harry Winks has been added to a casualty list that already includes Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Winks twinged a groin muscle in training on Friday and missed the 4-0 Premier League romp over relegated Huddersfield .

He is now a doubt for the quarter-final second leg at the Etihad on Wednesday night, when Spurs will be defending a 1-0 lead.

Pochettino said: “Harry trained yesterday but felt a pain in his groin.

“It is not a big issue and I will take a decision tomorrow.

“We are optimistic, but there is some doubt.”

Kane will not travel to Manchester after suffering an ankle injury in the first game against City that could sideline him for the season.

Alli broke two bones in his hand and has been training in a protective cast in a bid to play.

Pochettino said: “We will see with Dele. We are not sure. He's doing some training sessions, but it is uncomfortable because he broke two bones in is hand.

“We will see if he can play. Today it is difficult to know.”
