A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in the mouth at a wake in Tottenham.
Police were called to the scene just before 11.40pm on Tuesday at Tottenham Town Hall.
The man, 50, was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been taken into custody.
The attack comes amid a surge of stabbings in the capital.
In 2018, the number of homicides reached 128 in 2018.
