Tottenham squad to face Liverpool revealed as Jose Mourinho admits injury 'problems'

Tottenham are back in Premier League action tonight and what better way to return to league football than a top-of-the-table clash with Liverpool.

Spurs played in the FA Cup last time out, beating Wycombe Wanderers comfortably by a 4-1 scoreline despite going behind, and that made it eight games unbeaten in all competitions for Jose Mourinho's men as they begin to put that winter wobble behind them.

Tottenham's recent form has taken them to within two points of the top four and one point of Liverpool, with a game in hand over the Reds ahead of their meeting this evening.

Mourinho's men lost to Liverpool in a closely contested contest earlier in the season and they will be desperate to prove themselves with a win over the reigning champions at home tonight.

But ahead of the game, there are some injury concerns for Tottenham which could hamstring Mourinho in his team selection.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the experienced Portuguese boss wouldn't give a detailed update, saying: "We have some problems, I don’t want to speak about them, I don’t want to give any information – I’m not really happy to say player A, B or C is not in the squad but we have problems that in the end are normal problems.

"We cannot expect to be playing so many matches without problems so it’s a normal situation, we are going to miss a couple of players but that’s that. We are ready for the game.”

But there are some injuries we are aware of.

Matt Doherty has missed the last two outings and is a doubt for this one, as is Dele Alli following a tendon injury and Giovani Lo Celso remains out with a hamstring.

Serge Aurier is expected to return to full contention after starting on the bench against Wycombe following a bout with illness.

So, where does that leave Spurs' squad for the clash with Liverpool? We run you through the players Mourinho will have available below.

Goalkeepers: Hugo Lloris, Joe Hart, Paulo Gazzaniga.

Defenders: Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier, Ben Davies, Japhet Tanganga, Matt Doherty (doubt), Dennis Cirkin, Sergio Reguilon, Joe Rodon.

Midfielders: Harry Winks, Erik Lamela, Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko, Dele Alli (doubt), Tanguy Ndombele, Gedson Fernandes, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Alfie Devine.

Forwards: Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min, Harry Kane, Steven Bergwijn, Gareth Bale, Carlos Vinicius.
