Tottenham show off stunning new stadium in time lapse video

Stunning time lapse footage has shown the full extent of the construction of Tottenham's new stadium over the last few years.

Spurs, who are due to move into the new ground and play their first game against Crystal Palace on April 3, were supposed to move in at the beginning of this season.

Nevertheless, after numerous setbacks throughout last summer and indeed throughout the course of this campaign, the North London outfit have been forced to play at Wembley.

Though the national stadium is undoubtedly a magnificent ground in its own right, it is not the easiest to get to for Tottenham fans.

To compound this, the ground is also used for other events, such as NFL games. At times, this has left the pitch in a shocking state.

Spurs will be thrilled to be moving into their new home, which is a magnificent piece of construction.

In the video posted on Spurs' Twitter account, the clip stars in 2016, when the stadium was little bit a construction site.

As the video progresses throughout the years until 2019, viewers can see the stadium being built up from the ground over the London skyline.

Towards the end, the clip shows drone footage of the fully completed ground, which will be in operation for the closing stages of this campaign.
