Mauricio Pochettino has lost his job as manager of Tottenham Hotspur. He is not the only staff member who has left the club after more than five years at Spurs.
In a statement published on the club's official website, chairman Daniel Levy thanked his former manager for play his part in the history of the north London side.
Last season, the Argentinian took Tottenham to a Champions League final, only to lose to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
He has now been sacked after taking Spurs to 14th in the Premier League 12 games into the new season and losing 7-2 to Bayern Munich in the group stage of the Champions League.
Pochettino's three key lieutenants have joined him in leaving Spurs.
Assistant manager Jesus Perez, first team coach Miguel D’Agostino and goalkeeping coach Toni Jimenez are no longer at the team have followed their leader out of the club.
Where to next? Speaking to Spanish media prior to his dismissal, Pochettino suggested he would look to return to Spain where he has previously played and managed at Espanyol.
"Yes. Look, although you never know. We are latinos. I like this city, La Liga and I love this club," he told Diario La Grada .
"I am enjoying England very much, and I don’t know when or where, but I would love to return to Spain."
Manchester United have long been linked with the now former Tottenham boss who has also been mentioned as a potential target for Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in recent season.
