Tottenham’s trip to Leicester rescheduled in between Chelsea and Arsenal matches after Covid postponement

Tottenham’s Premier League match at Leicester has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 19 after the original match was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak.

The fixture will kick-off at 7.30pm GMT and be shown live on BT Sport, having originally been set for December 16.

Spurs, off the back of their own rises in cases, travelled to the East Midlands before the game was called off due to a spate of positive tests in the Foxes camp.

The new date comes amid an increasingly hectic, and difficult, schedule for Antonio Conte’s men.

On January 12, they face Chelsea in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final tie - with a 2-0 deficit. The following Sunday they host Arsenal in the North London derby before the midweek match at Leicester.

The week ends with another match against Chelsea, this time in the Premier League and at Stamford Bridge.

Conte is expected to heavily rotate his side for the upcoming FA Cup game at home to Morecambe, on Sunday, January 9.

New dates are pending for Tottenham’s postponed trips to Burnley and Brighton.
