Tottenham's transfer deadline day plans revealed as Spurs plot late swoop

After failing to make a signing in the two previous windows, Tottenham smashed their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for £65million.

Still only 22, Ndombele already boasts an outstanding array of attributes and is close to being the complete midfielder and promises to be a fixture in the middle of the park for years to come.

Spurs have also signed Jack Clarke from Leeds for £8.5m before loaning him back to the Championship outfit.

The north London outfit are also closing in on the signing of Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.

Spurs are ready to part with £25million plus midfielder Josh Onomah for the England starlet, who has been a long-term target.

His arrival could signal the end of Danny Rose's time at the club, with PSG and Bayern Munich among those showing an interest.

Tottenham are also keen on Bruno Fernandes, Giovani Lo Celso and Paulo Dybala, but they have failed in a loan bid for Philippe Coutinho after he rejected the chance to join Mauricio Pochettino's men.

Spurs made an ambitious approach to bring the Brazilian back to the Premier League after Barca decided that the player's long-term future would be best served away from the Nou Camp.

Christian Eriksen could be allowed to leave as Spurs, with Manchester United , Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Real Madrid showing an interest.

Possible incomings: Ryan Sessegnon ( Fulham ), Bruno Fernandes (Sporting), Giovani Lo Celso (Real Betis), Paulo Dybala ( Juventus )

Possible outgoings: Josh Onomah, Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose
