Spurs are not planning to hold talks to host the Champions League final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, football.london understands.
The final is currently due to take place in Istanbul on 29 May and Uefa had hoped to give both Manchester City and Chelsea a minimum of 4,000 tickets each for the showpiece game at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
However, on Friday, the UK government made it clear that supporters should not travel to Turkey after adding the country to England's travel red list.
Transport secretary Grant Shapps said Covid-19 red list countries "should not be visited except in the most extreme circumstances".
UK citizens returning from red list countries are required to quarantine at a government-approved hotel for ten days.
Schapps said that the Football Association is in talks with UEFA about switching the game, but that it is "ultimately a decision for Uefa".
Wembley Stadium is already set to stage the Championship play-off final on May 29 and both the 62,850-seater Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Villa Park have been tipped to hold the game.
However, football.london understands that Spurs have not entered into talks, or plan to, to hold the Champions League final this season.
Tottenham fans had been upset at that possibility of London rivals Chelsea winning the trophy and parading it around their new stadium, but that is not expected to happen.
