Tottenham's Oliver Skipp dodges injury after 'horrific' tackle during Norwich City loan spell

Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp has come through a 'horrific' challenge unscathed during his loan spell with Norwich City.

Skipp was at the end of a two-footed lunge from Rotherham United defender Angus McDonald over the weekend, a challenge which saw the Millers star sent off.

The challenge left Norwich boss Daniel Farke and Canaries fans fearing the worst, but it has since been confirmed that Skipp has come through without an injury.

“It was a horrendous scene," he told the East Anglian Daily Times. "I feared it was the end of Olly Skipp’s loan spell. Perhaps the end of his career.

"If I am honest I was surprised that he could play further on. I am unbelievably grateful that it seems nothing serious has happened.

"There are some stud marks on his legs but Oliver seems to be in a good physical condition.

"I am just happy that after this scene Olly is able to play football."

Skipp joined Norwich on a season-long loan and has since made five league appearances, starting all of the Canaries' league games so far.
