Harry Kane has joked that a Christmas dinner may be the key to his scoring record for Tottenham on Boxing Day, after striking against Brighton.
Jose Mourinho's side fought back from behind to secure a victory against Brighton, with Kane equalising before a fantastic effort from Dele Alli secured all three points.
That gave Spurs a much-needed boost following defeat last time out against Chelsea and lays down a marker to their rivals for a top-four finish, all of whom play later.
If Spurs are to continue their charge towards securing Champions League football next season, Kane's goals will be crucial and he joked about the key to his Boxing Day displays.
"I enjoy it. The games come thick and fast. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the Christmas spirit or the Christmas dinner that gives me a little boost so I might have to have it more often," he told Amazon Prime Video.
Tottenham now turn their attention towards their trip to face Norwich City on Saturday, the first of three consecutive away matches in all competitions.
They'll head to Carrow Road without two key players.
Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko will miss the game against the Canaries.
This is because of suspension.
Winks picked up his fifth booking of the season for a foul on Ezequiel Schelotto - although replays showed very minimal contact.
Sissoko didn't learn from Winks' mistake as he had a coming together with Dan Burn late in the game which resulted in his name going into the book.
Winks and Sissoko's suspension could open the door for Tanguy Ndombele to return.
The Frenchman was left out of the matchday squad against the Seagulls and football.london understands that was a decision made by Mourinho rather than anything injury related.
