Tottenham's Carabao Cup clash with Leyton Orient is at risk of being cancelled after a number of O's players tested positive for the coronavirus.
Leyton Orient have informed both Tottenham and the EFL in an official statement, and are now awaiting a decision on whether the game can go ahead.
As a precaution, Leyton Orient have put their stadium and training ground into lockdown - just 24 hours before the fixture is scheduled to take place.
A statement from the League Two club read: "Today (Monday 21st) we received formal confirmation which shows that a number of our first-team squad have tested positive for COVID-19.
"We have informed the EFL and Tottenham Hotspur and will make a further announcement regarding Tuesday’s match shortly.
"We have also informed Mansfield Town, Plymouth Argyle and Oldham Athletic, our three most recent opponents, prior to the public release of this information.
"Leyton Orient’s priority is the health and well-being of its players and staff. Those who have tested positive will now strictly follow government self-isolation guidelines.
"The Breyer Group Stadium and training ground facilities will be closed until further notice.
"At this time, the club will make no further comment."
According to EFL rules, if a club is unable to fulfil its obligation to play due to coronavirus then they must pay for the opposing team's expenses.
"A club unable to complete a match due to not having sufficient players shall forfeit and pay the opposing club's expenses."
That means, Orient - who are sponsored by Spurs striker Harry Kane - could face handing over much-needed cash to the Premier League side if the game doesn't go ahead.
It is unlikely Spurs would enforce such a move amid the current financial issues afflicting EFL clubs.
If the game doesn't go ahead, Spurs will be handed a bye into the fourth round.
