Tottenham release pictures of stadium transformed to provide support for NHS maternity services

Tottenham continue to offer their state-of-the-art stadium to assist the combat against the coronavirus pandemic and on Thursday provided a behind-the-scenes look into how the stadium has been transformed.

The north London club were the first Premier League club to offer their stadium for testing purposes and are also hosting maternity and antenatal services for the North Middlesex University Hospital.

The space Tottenham have provided give the Edmonton-based hospital greater capacity to focus on the coronavirus, while enabling pregnant women to stay clear throughout the pandemic.

In offering such space for the hospital’s Women’s Outpatient Services to operate, a number of areas within the stadium - such as the players' tunnel and the changing rooms - have been repurposed.

Here is the full list of stadium amendments...

The Media Entrance and Cafe have now been converted into a "main reception welfare area" for visitors and staff.

The NFL away changing room areas are now being used as a Maternal Day Unit.

Players are no longer providing their post-match thoughts in the interview rooms off of the players’ tunnel, which is instead being used for consultation and scanning rooms.

A Midwives Clinical Room and staff Admin Office has been set up in the football away dressing room (different to the NFL space).

Finally, the basement car park is now being used as a drive-through Covid-19 testing centre, North Middlesex staff and their families receiving tests on a daily basis.

Tottenham - in a move towards a potential Premier League resumption - also earlier this week announced their training centre will now be open for individual training sessions.
