Tottenham predicted team vs Wolves: Tanguy Ndombele in as Jose Mourinho makes Serge Aurier call

Jose Mourinho will make a handful of changes to his Tottenham team this evening when they return to Premier League action away at Wolves.

Playing earlier in the week as they secured their place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup with a 3-1 win at Stoke City, Spurs need to return to winning ways in the league having dropped down the table after failing to win in their last three games.

The Lilywhites currently sit in eighth after 14 games but three points at Molineux will see them move into third and one point behind Everton in second.

Given the amount of points usually won and lost over the festive period, Mourinho knows that his side must capitalise on some of their rivals not claiming full points on Boxing Day.

So who will the head coach pick in his starting XI against Nuno Espirito Santo's men?

Well, Hugo Lloris will remain in goal after starting at Stoke on Wednesday evening, with Toby Alderweireld and Sergio Reguilon coming back in as part of the backline

Mourinho then has a decision to make over who he starts at right-back as Serge Aurier was at fault for Leicester's penalty one week ago and Matt Doherty, making his return to Molineux, played well in midweek.

Moussa Sissoko, who came on at Stoke and teed up Harry Kane for the final goal of the game, will come back into the side to partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the middle despite Harry Winks claiming the man of the match award against the Potters.

Tanguy Ndombele is also likely to get the nod as Giovani Lo Celso is not fit enough to feature, with Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn returning to the XI as Kane leads the line.

Here is the team we reckon Mourinho will choose to face Wolves.

(4-2-3-1): Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Sissoko, Hojbjerg; Bergwijn, Ndombele, Son; Kane.
