Tottenham predicted team vs Wolfsberger: Dele Alli, Bale and Vinicius start with key trio rested

Jose Mourinho must pick a Tottenham Hotspur line-up that will get his team back on track as they travel to Budapest to face Wolfsberger in the Europa League.

Spurs will take on the Austrian outfit in the round of 32 and Wolfsberger currently sit sixth in the Austrian Bundesliga, nine points behind third-placed LASK, who Tottenham beat 3-0 at home in the group stages but drew 3-3 away from home.

Wolfsberger will be playing in the neutral Puskás Arena, home of the Hungary national team, as COVID-19 regulations in Austria mean Spurs can no longer play at the Worthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt.

Jose Mourinho press conference pre-Wolfsberger tie

The face that the Austrian outfit will be away from home and are not on the same level as LASK this season could suggest that Mourinho might be able to rest a couple of players after a gruelling and disappointing week.

Tottenham travel to West Ham on Sunday in a big derby clash at the London Stadium and some players have been getting too many minutes in recent weeks.

Sergio Reguilon, Serge Aurier and Giovani Lo Celso all miss out through injury, while Joe Rodon is not registered for the competition.

Mourinho could look at Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who has played every minute recently, and try to give the Dane a rest, with Son Heung-min, Ben Davies and Tanguy Ndombele in a similar situation.

Harry Kane may need a rest after returning quickly from injuries to both ankles, which could open the door for Carlos Vinicius to get more minutes in a competition that has brought him three goals and three assists in five matches.

Gareth Bale could be handed his first start in a couple of weeks while a decision will be made over whether Dele Alli is fit enough to start a game yet.

Here is the team we reckon Mourinho could select:

(4-2-3-1) Lloris; Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Tanganga; Sissoko, Winks; Bale, Dele, Bergwijn; Vinicius.
