Tottenham predicted team vs Crystal Palace: Conte names side as Premier League make decision

Tottenham Hotspur are set to play their Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Boxing Day.

There had been reports that the match could be in doubt due to cases of Covid occurring in the Palace camp over the festive period.

football.london understands that the Spurs players arrived on Christmas Day as expected to train and then stay at The Lodge, the hotel within the Hotspur Way training complex, overnight.

They are believed to have been warned when they arrived on Saturday about the possibility of a postponement should the situation worsen.

However, as of Boxing Day morning the team were still at The Lodge and the club were yet to hear any word from the Premier League about a potential postponement.

Then later on Sunday, the club got confirmation that a request from Palace to have the match postponed was rejected by the Premier League.

Antonio Conte will have set up his team ready to play the fixture and he will have had plenty to think about.

The Italian will have to juggle his squad for Tottenham's match against Palace, if it happens, and an away trip to Southampton just 48 hours later.

With Spurs having faced their own Covid outbreak this month, some players are still finding their feet following their isolation periods and symptoms.

That could play its part in Conte's team selection and he made six changes as his side beat West Ham 2-1 in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Wednesday night.

Players like Harry Winks, Emerson Royal, Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele and Son Heung-min could all return to the side.

Here's the team we reckon Conte could go for on Boxing Day:

(3-5-2) Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Skipp, Winks, Alli, Reguilon; Kane, Son.
