Tottenham predicted team: Ndombele to start with Mourinho making switch to counter Traore

Jose Mourinho has had a rare eight-day break for his Tottenham Hotspur players to rest their weary limbs.

Yet the Spurs boss must still think ahead as another busy week brings first Wolves on Sunday afternoon, Norwich in the FA Cup on Wednesday night and then the trip to Burnley on Saturday.

Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Moussa Sissoko remain unavailable but Juan Foyth returned to full training earlier this week. Ryan Sessegnon is out with a hip injury.

Jose Mourinho: I have no complaints about my players

Mourinho told football.london that Erik Lamela is still not training with the group yet, apart from a light pre-match session on Saturday, and can only manage 20 or 25 minutes of football this weekend.

The Portuguese must decide whether Tanguy Ndombele is fit enough to start a second consecutive game or whether to start the young French midfielder against Norwich in midweek.

Wolves' lightning quick winger Adama Traore caused Tottenham all kinds of problems at Molineux earlier in this season.

Mourinho must decide whether to use Ben Davies at left-back, who contained Traore well when he last faced him when couple of seasons ago when the wide man played for Middlesbrough, or use the faster Japhet Tanganga in the role.

He could also ensure Davinson Sanchez is the left-sided centre-back to help out with his pace.

The Spurs boss also has to choose whether to play Steven Bergwijn up front again. The Dutchman looked bright in the role at Stamford Bridge but Tottenham missed his wing play.

Dele Alli could also return to the team after being benched for the defeat at Chelsea.

Here's the Spurs team we reckon Mourinho will choose:

(4-3-3) Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Tanganga; Lo Celso, Winks, Ndombele; Lucas, Bergwijn, Alli.
