Summer signing Joe Hart starts in goal with teenager Dennis Cirkin also getting another start at left-back.
Ndombele plays alongside and Harvey White in the centre of the pitch with Dele Alli starting with Erik Lamela, who missed Saturday's win over Birmingham as he became a father for the second time that day.
Son Heung-min is named captain for the day while a young substitutes bench contains for the first time this pre-season midfielder George Marsh and 19-year-old right-back Jubril Okedina.
