Tottenham player ratings: Super Son shines, creative Kane with disciplined Romero and Bentancur

Hugo Lloris

Nothing to do until the 34th minute when he will have felt he should have done more with Benrahma's close range volley. Had to make an important catch under big pressure from a corner late on and then had a pre-assist with his long kick to Kane for Son's goal. 7

Cristian Romero

Desperate not to get one of the two yellow cards that will see him suspended for two matches if he gets them before the cut off after the Brighton match. He did so perfectly with some excellent moments of defending. 8

Eric Dier

Sporting a dark headband after his head injury at Brighton and he played well at the back, other than one moment when Antonio brushed him off easily. 7

Ben Davies

Another solid performance from the Welshman as he dealt with much of what came his way. 7

Matt Doherty

The Irishman won the ball back high up the pitch to send Kane away to set up the opening goal nine minutes in. Stumbled to give away the corner West Ham scored from in the first half. Had a shot blocked in front of goal in the final 10 minutes. Switched to the left late on and was flying up the pitch still. 7

Rodrigo Bentancur

Always looking to get the ball forward and it was his pinpoint pass to Kane that began the move for Spurs' second goal. He also pulled off the coolest yet scariest pirouette on the edge of his own box, with two West Ham players sent the wrong way and everyone in the stadium holding their breath for a moment. 8

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Scrapped for the ball in the centre of the pitch and picked out Kane with a clever chip for a big second half chance. 7

Sergio Reguilon

Had more bursts down the left that ended in either him falling to the floor or a weak shot that was comfortable for the keeper. 6

Dejan Kulusevski

Played a one-two with Kane after a driving run 12 minutes in and pulled the ball back for Son to hit the post. Executed a lovely backheel touch to set up a chance for Kane before half-time. Cut inside and curled a shot over midway through the second half. Another busy and creative display. 7

Harry Kane

His low driven cross was turned into his own net by Zouma and then he combined with Kulusevski for a chance for Son soon after. Played a sublime ball into the path of the South Korean star to assist Tottenham's second goal. Had a low shot saved by Fabianski before half-time. Had a big chance as the final 10 minutes arrived, lobbing over when Hojbjerg picked out his run into the box. Grabbed a second assist by heading on Lloris' kick to Son. 8

Son Heung-min

Pressured Zouma into the early own goal and then hit the post from Kulusevski's pass, which was ever so slightly behind him. He made amends with a run on to Kane's pass and then shot that deflected up off Zouma and into the corner of the West Ham net to double Spurs' lead. Came away from his man to try to get to Benrahma for West Ham's goal but was nowhere near. However, he more than made up for that with a confident and clinical finish to wrap up the game for Spurs late on. 9

Subs

Emerson Royal

A busy cameo from the bench in the final stages as he tried to get involved in the West Ham half. 6

Steven Bergwijn

Replaced Kulusevski in the final moments. N/A

Lucas Moura

Came on for Son in added time. N/A
