Hugo Lloris
Didn't have a save to make until around the 88th minute, denying Jones who had run into the box from the right. Made a big save to keep out Tavernier's volley in the first half of extra-time. Couldn't stop Coburn's powerful effort in the second period. 6
Cristian Romero
A couple of sloppy moments with his concentration during the game. Not one of his most imposing displays. 5
Eric Dier
Forced Lumley into a flying save with a dipping free-kick from distance. Had a real go at Son after the South Korean was disagreeing with Hojbjerg. He then headed wide from Son's corner soon after. Had a header scrambled off the Boro line in the final minutes. 7
Ben Davies
Brought down just outside the Boro box after a driving run on to a loose ball. Also flicked on the corner that ended with Kane putting the ball into the net, only for the flag to go up for offside. Tried to combine defending and attacking. 6
Matt Doherty
Started the game well and towards the end of the half he rounded the keeper, who had rushed out of his box, but show well over from out wide rather than finding Son in the box. Fired a low shot wide a couple of minutes later from the edge of the area. Didn't hit the heights of the Leeds game. 5
Harry Winks
Some sloppy passing at times and left chasing shadows when Boro broke quickly. Not one of his better game. 4
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Lost at sea with Winks on occasions and so hesitant in some of his passes forward. 4
Ryan Sessegnon
Had a few early moments when he looked to attack but he spent much of the remainder of the match defending before being taken off. 4
Dejan Kulusevski
Worked hard and picked out Doherty for a good chance when he touched past the keeper. Had a couple of moments when he could have done better in the box with shots but then found the unmarked Son with an excellent ball in the final stages of normal time. Sent a low shot at goal early in extra-time, which seemed to be touched wide by the keeper only for a goal kick to be given. Set up Son again at the end of the first half of extra-time with a low cross. 6
Harry Kane
Struggled to make an impact for long spells although he looked to be fouled with his shirt almost ripped off his back before putting the ball into the net and being flagged offside. A bad day at the office for the striker. 4
Son Heung-min
Also off the pace and missed a big chance at the end of normal time when, unmarked, he sent a header straight at the goalkeeper from six yards. Got a telling off from Dier and Kane at various points in the second half and extra-time. Had another big chance at the end of the first half of extra-time, backheeling a Kulusevski cross which the keeper stopped at the second attempt. He got into good positions but was poor when the ball arrived. 3

Steven Bergwijn
A bright introduction at first from the bench. Had a chance within moments of coming on but was tackled as he tried to use his right foot instead of his left. Reduced in impact though as extra-time wore on. 5
Emerson Royal
A poor showing from the Brazilian, contributing very little going forward and playing Coburn onside for Boro's goal. 3
Sergio Reguilon
Contributed little from the left hand side after coming on. 4

Replaced Davies for the final minutes but couldn't find a way into the game. N/A
