Tottenham player ratings: Kane and Ndombele superb, Bale misses big chance before Lanzini rocket

Hugo Lloris

Could do nothing about both of West Ham's second half goals. Got a hand to Lanzini's late rocket from distance but could only tip it on to the woodwork. 6

Serge Aurier

Plenty of space down the right and he set up Son with a good low ball in the first half. Didn't get forward much in the second half and gave away the foul that led eventually to the Hammers' equaliser. 6

Spurs complete Joe Rodon transfer

Toby Alderweireld

Did what was asked of him on the whole and was one of the better players in the back four. 7

Davinson Sanchez

Poor own goal to head it into his own net unchallenged in the second half. Had done well enough until that point on the whole but that spoiled it. 5

Sergio Reguilon

Tottenham's roadrunner down the left and he curled in a sumptuous cross for Kane to head home just after the quarter hour mark. Could not stop the cross into the box that left to West Ham's second goal. 7

Moussa Sissoko

A decent performance until he failed to get off the ground to stop Balbuena from heading home West Ham's first. 6

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Sits in front of the back four and does what Eric Dier used to do in splitting the centre-backs to almost make a back three of sorts. Less influence as the second half wore on. 7

Tanguy Ndombele

Another big performance in the middle of the pitch and two booming tackles in quick succession in the first half brought bellowing praise from Mourinho. West Ham had to foul him most of the time to get the ball off of him. It all went wrong after he went off as Spurs weren't holding the ball. 8

Steven Bergwijn

Started the game brightly and looked dangerous in the first half but struggled to make an impact in the second period and was replaced by Bale. 6

Harry Kane

Creator once again for Son after just 45 seconds, the sixth time he's laid on an assist for the South Korean. Then within eight minutes he nutmegged Rice and fired low into the bottom left corner of the net. Nine minutes later and he was heading home his second. Also stopped a last-gap goal in the first half with a brave sliding block in his own box. Hit the post in the second half and pulled off another important block late on at the other end. Then put Bale away for what should have been Spurs' fourth goal. 9

Son Heung-min

Another confident finish within a minute, running on, cutting inside and curling home. Then provided an assist for Kane in return soon after. Denied by Fabianksi after the half-hour mark with a sliding effort. 8

Subs

Gareth Bale

Made his second Spurs debut on 72 minutes. Almost had his moment on 90 minutes, as Kane played him through, he showed quick feet to get past his man but shot wide of the goal. 5

Harry Winks

Came on with Bale and made a key block in his own box soon after. Could have done better with his touch that led to Lanzini's late rocket. 5

Lucas Moura

Replaced Son late on. N/A
