Tottenham player ratings: Tanguy Ndombele loses the crowd as Lucas, Winks and Kane save day

By Alasdair Gold

Pierluigi Gollini

Saved comfortably from McLoughlin just six minutes in. Couldn't do much about O'Connor's goal but could have come out to collect the ball to prevent the corner it came from. Didn't have anything else to do. 5

Japhet Tanganga

Completely lost O'Conner for Morecambe's goal after the half hour mark. Recovered well afterwards but it's another big mistake at the back in consecutive matches. 4

Joe Rodon

Carrying a rib problem and some of his movement looked restricted. However, he dealt with much of what came his way as the game wore on. 6

Ben Davies

Headed just over from an early Winks corner. Did much of what he had to do defensively. 6

Matt Doherty

Sent a header against the left-hand post from a Lo Celso corner 20 minutes in and sent a shot over in the second half. Conte switched the wing-backs to opposite flanks in the second half and it did Doherty no favours. 4

Tanguy Ndombele

Tried to make things happen but he should be dominating against a 21st placed League One side. Below his best and lost the crowd entirely as he trudged off slowly across the pitch, despite others trying to hurry him, as Dele and Gil ran off during the triple change. Went straight down the tunnel and although he later returned to the bench it was a daft moment as a whole that might have further repercussions. Loses marks for not thinking of the team, exactly what Conte had criticised him for. 3

Harry Winks

Another long range accidental goal to add to his others with his deep free-kick curling over everyone and into the net. He was by far the best of the midfield trio that started the game. 7

Giovani Lo Celso

Had a couple of flashes of moments where he looked to create and improved in the second half, testing the keeper with a swerving shot and then setting up Kane with an assist late on before coming off. He will get fitter and sharper. 6

Ryan Sessegnon

Dribbled past three players and into the box before teeing up Lo Celso only for the Argentine's shot to be blocked. Suffered initially from the wing-back switch but his pace helped him find more space than Doherty. Another who will get fitter and sharper. 5

Dele Alli

Battled away up front but he's just not a natural striker. Another position that hasn't really worked for him. 5

Bryan Gil

Some bright moments as he tried to run with the ball but like Alli, the forward role did not suit him. 5

Subs

Lucas Moura

Changed the game with his direct running and deserved his goal, dispossessing McLaughlin and sprint up the pitch to round the keeper and score. Had further chances late on. 8

Harry Kane

Made a different as a natural striker and he added a goal to his season tally with a smart turn and finish. 7

Oliver Skipp

Added more energy and drive to Spurs midfield for the final 25 minutes. 6

Emerson Royal

Replaced Sessegnon late on and played his part in Kane's goal, winning the ball back for Lo Celso. N/A

Dane Scarlett

Came on for Lo Celso in the final moments. N/A
