Tottenham planning double transfer deal to follow Cristian Romero as summer rebuild continues

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to complete two summer transfer deals in the shape of selling left-back Ben Davies, as well as signing Sampdoria winger, Mikkel Damsgaard.

Amid links of a possible move to Serie A giants Napoli, previous reports had suggested that Spurs were unwilling to sell Davies unless it was for a huge fee.

Italian football expert Ciro Venerato even claimed that he had exchanged messages with Fabio Paratici that confirmed that he’d set a huge £30million price tag on the Welshman, a fee that nobody’s likely to pay for an ageing left-back.

"Ben Davies in Italy? Paratici told me that Tottenham want to keep him, but if he leaves, they would only consider offers over 30 million," Venerato told Kiss Kiss Napoli, relayed by Area Napoli.

But now, according to reports from football expert Fabrizio Romano, Davies could be set to leave the club before the end of the current transfer window.

The journalist has claimed on his Twitch channel that the Wales international could be one of the next players to leave the club, given that they’re well stocked with Sergio Reguilon as well as Ryan Sessegnon in that area.

Meanwhile, on the same channel Romano has linked Tottenham with a move for Denmark winger, Damsgaard, who only signed for Sampdoria in January.

Romano believes that the signing of the Danish international is nowhere near imminent, but it could be a possibility later in the transfer window as new boss Nuno Espirito Santo continues to shape his new look team.

Completing the move would be surprising, but if Paratici could pull the deal off, Tottenham may reap the benefits of his work in the transfer market.
