Tottenham old boy launches scathing attack ahead of Nottingham Forest test

Danny Rose has delivered a brutal response to Tottenham's exit from the Champions League to AC Milan, ahead of Nottingham Forest's visit this weekend.

Spurs were knocked out in the last-16 round following a home goalless draw with the Italian side on Wednesday night. Antonio Conte's side were unable to reverse the 1-0 defeat from the first leg tie at the San Siro.

Rose demanded more "accountability" from the players following their feeble display.

"They've got the best stadium but you can have the best house, if the furniture is not the best inside then it's irrelevant," Rose told Sky Sports. "Going at the hierarchy, I still like to try and go into Spurs training ground so I have to be careful with what I say there.

"But I think everybody's got to be held accountable, I heard recently Daniel Levy said something about the signings haven't been great and it's bizarre. I'm sure I said something like that six years ago and I got fined two weeks' wages but here we are.

"I think everybody's got be held accountable and it'll be interesting to see where they go from here until the end of the season."
